Church kneelers at
All Saints
Steep, Hampshire
All Saints church in Steep, Hampshire dates back to circa 1125.
Original the church was a basic rectangle with just a nave and chancel. Late in the same century a south aisle was added and two Norman arches to the east side.
The north aisle was added in the 13th century. This was updated in the 15th century with perpendicular door added.
Major restoration took place in 1839 and 1875.
The bell tower had 5 bells added, cast in 1745 with a sixth completing the set in 1940.
Porches completed the churches external appearance in 1960.
All Saints has unusual rendered walls which give the church a striking appearance.
The kneelers can be found in pews, made of oak and date back to 1928, they were gifted by a local resident.
