Church kneelers at
St Mary the Virgin
Broughton, Hampshire
The Church of England parish church of St Mary the Virgin dates from the 12th century. In the 13th century an aisle was added and the nave was lengthened.
During the 15 the century a towers was added which was restored in the 19th century.
The church is mostly made up of rubble flint with some stone and brick dressings.
The pews, from which the kneelers hang, were originaly from the 17th century. These were rebuilt in 1911.
