Church kneelers at
Holy Trinity
Amblecote, West Midlands
With a growing population it was felt that Amblecote should have its own church. The Earl of Stamford donated two acres and £300 in 1838 with an annual endowment of £100 to pay for the cost of erecting the 19th century church. By the end of 1839 funds for the build had reached £2,082 with building commencing in 1841.
The building was Consecrated in November 1844 after a further £2200 of funds were raised to complete the build.
Commissioned in 1849, a church organ was completed for the building and the erection of a clock tower followed in 1852. The last amendment to the church was implemented in 1856 with a stained glass window put in the east corner of the building.
